The UK Government drugs and treatment advisory group NICE have recently issued the following guidelines for pain management:
“…people with a type of chronic pain called chronic primary pain should be offered supervised group exercise programmes, some types of psychological therapy, or acupuncture”
Hypnotherapy can be an extremely effective tool in managing chronic pain, including migraine. It also has the advantage of having none of the side-effects associated with long-term drug use, particularly addictive opioids.
I work with people online to help them effectively manage pain and also see people face to face at my practice in St Albans. In addition to hypnotherapy, if I feel your condition may be helped by other treatments, I have spent more than twenty years building up a database of the best local practitioners of osteopathy, acupuncture, and Alexander technique.
